Key Responsibilities
- Integrate and test software solutions across IDT’s Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) business area
- Provide feedback to developers to help build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software which integrates with other system components.
- Work with various IMS teammates to gather user requirements, define system functionality, and develop test plans for various integrated commercial applicates and code written in various languages, like Java, C++, Python, and JavaScript.
- Work with other software engineers, systems engineers, integration engineers, and subject matter experts to deliver robust technical solutions.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in applicable discipline such as software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, data science, cyber security, mathematics, or aeronautical engineering
- Completed coursework/experience in application development with JAVA or C++ in a Linux or Windows environment
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed
- Experience with any of the following: JavaScript, Java, Python, C++
- Experience applying AI/ML tools to practical use cases
- Proficiency with version control software like Git or SVN and version control workflows that support development of complex software projects
- Familiarity with computer networking and various networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, CORBA, DDS)
- Experience using deployment platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Current college juniors/rising seniors preferred
