iRely is looking for a Software Release Manager to join their Product Development Team in the Philippines.

The Software Release Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the release process, ensuring that it is delivered on time and with quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish release schedules, and communicate with all teams to ensure smooth and successful product releases. Key responsibilities include establishing release strategies, defining release scopes and schedules, monitoring development progress, enforcing adherence to schedules, and effectively communicating with stakeholders throughout the process.


Responsibilities:

  • Define scope, frequency, and schedules for all product releases, including version releases, maintenance releases, etc.
  • Facilitate the smooth delivery across the CTRM, AG, and Petro teams, ensuring coordination and collaboration
  • Ensure product development practices align with the Release Strategy, establishing a consistent and efficient release process.
  • Monitor the progress of development activities.
  • Ensure adherence to the release schedule and communicate any deviations to senior management.
  • Incorporate SoW and Change Control into Release Strategy.
  • Work with the Product groups to ensure approved SoWs meet the team's capacity and can be delivered within the release strategy schedule.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for feature additions or changes that may fall outside the defined capacity and scope of the release schedule.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the release process and escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams involved in the release process.
  • Regularly update Teams on the status of releases, including progress, issues, and risks.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation related to release schedules, feature decisions, and change requests.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing is conducted before production release.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze release management processes and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Implement best practices, and tools to streamline the release process.
  • Conduct post-release reviews to gather feedback and identify lessons learned for future improvements.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Development with Release Management background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to absorb and digest technical information and translate into language the all teams can understand
  • Excellent capacity to learn quickly and multitask
  • Willingness to learn new job-related skills
  • Willingness to work out of core business hours when the job demands
  • Compile release metrics and KPIs
