Role Overview
We are looking for a Working Student in Software Quality Assurance to help us build a culture of quality across our web-based tool ecosystem. You will work alongside our development team to validate new features, catch defects early, and help establish a sustainable automated test suite - contributing directly to tools used in high-impact semiconductor test engineering workflows. As our web-based tools grow in scope and user base, structured testing and test automation have become essential to maintaining quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities

• Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing on new and existing features across our web applications.

• Develop and maintain automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end level using modern test frameworks.

• Document defects with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with developers on resolutions.

• Contribute to acceptance criteria and test plans for upcoming feature releases.

• Support CI pipeline health and release readiness activities.

• Participate in code reviews and team quality discussions, bringing a structured testing perspective.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for writing and maintaining test scripts.

• Hands-on experience with Git and standard software development workflows.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail - able to identify edge cases and reproduce defects reliably.

• Good written and spoken English for cross-functional collaboration across Munich and international sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Initial experience with test frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, Vitest, or Selenium (at least 1 framework preferred).

• Basic understanding of REST APIs and database structures for backend validation.

• Exposure to CI/CD environments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
