AssetWorks is seeking an experienced Product Owner for our industry-leading Fleet management products. We are looking for a results-driven self-starter who will be responsible for overseeing & delivering the timely release of our software products. As a key member of the product development team, you will collaborate cross-functionally across Product Management, UI/UX, Engineering and QA to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This position will be responsible for driving adherence to agile principals managing release planning and accelerating our innovation to our customers.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set user story standards and ensure test and acceptance criteria for them
  • Work with Product Manager and UX to refine user stories
  • Monitor and enforce Jira Hygiene
  • Facilitate feature/bug/tech debt prioritization with Product Managers
  • Facilitate/ensure yearly, release, and sprint work plans
  • Manage backlog continuously prioritizing and adjusting based on business needs
  • Regularly communicate status, escalate issues, and remove blockers
  • Establish and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Act as a Release Manager to help plan releases and ensure timely delivery

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field from an accredited college or university. Asset Management domain knowledge and/or experience working with state and local governments is a plus.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 10 years in enterprise software development
  • Prior experience as a product owner, scrum master, or software product management
  • Experience using Jira to build and track epics and user stories and construct a release pipeline
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Experience with overseeing CI/CD pipelines
  • Skilled at collaborating across departments and internal stakeholders
  • An ability to drive product decisions often across stakeholders with incomplete information
  • Have experience with refining development methodologies to improve the delivery and velocity of releases and user stories
  • Must be able to work with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar certification is a plus.
