Job Description

As a Product Manager on the Research and Development team reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you will make a positive impact by:

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Develop and articulate the product vision, positioning and strategy for IoT products in alignment with the company’s overall goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
  • Define and prioritize product features and roadmap based on customer feedback, market demands, and business objectives.
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI

Product Development and Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation, development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
  • Communicate product updates, roadmaps, and strategic direction to stakeholders
  • Engage with customers and partners to gather feedback and insights for product improvements and new features.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze product performance data and user feedback to inform decision-making and future product development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications we’re looking for.  

  • Experience: 
    • 3+ years’ experience in a dynamic product management role in the field of software solutions (SaaS)
    • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
    • Direct customer facing experience required
  • Skills: 
    • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Abilities: 
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello.
  • Education: 
    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or relevant engineering field
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello.

Nice To Have Skills:

  • Previous experience in software and web development
  • Previous experience in cloud solutions 
  • Proven success as a product developer in a nonmanagerial role
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to IoT products
