Software Integration Engineer 3 (On-Call) - Linux/Bash/Python/Docker/Kubernetes/Helm/Grafana/Jira

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software integration engineer who shall be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and operational support of the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) component of the CASA Compute Environment (CCE). The CCE provides secure, multi-tenant, high-performance, and highly available Kubernetes clusters operating within a Linux-based infrastructure. Tasking shall ensure platform reliability, scalability, security compliance, and optimal cluster performance in support of mission and application requirements.
RequirementsSecurity Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
- The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.
- An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.
- A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of tools
- Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker/Podman
- Demonstrated experience administrating and monitoring Kubernetes clusters
- Demonstrated experience administrating/monitoring Kubernetes clusters
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes workloads (ingress, performance, networking, storage, etc.)
- Experience with IaC principles, concepts, and methodologies using automation tools including Ansible
- Experience writing, deploying, and maintaining Helm Charts
- Experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
- Experience using Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Experience working in a DevOps environment that uses Agile principles and methodologies
- Experience with or willingness to learn development of Python applications (REST services, microservices, etc.)
- CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)

- Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
- Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
