Software Engr II

Honeywell is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our Software Engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and support scalable enterprise applications and AI-driven solutions while collaborating with global cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ReactJS, Python, Django, Golang, Database Administration, and LLM/AI development.

Your role will also include overseeing, supervising, and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end‑to‑end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and directions to team members on tasks to be performed; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using ReactJS, Python, and Django.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services using Python and Golang.
• Develop scalable and secure web applications following Honeywell engineering standards.
• Design, administer, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.
• Implement AI/ML and Generative AI solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, and AI agents.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Ensure software quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Django Framework.
• Experience developing applications/services using Golang.
• Solid understanding of database design, performance tuning, indexing, backup, and recovery.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, microservices architecture, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vector Databases, Semantic Search, and RAG frameworks.
• Experience building AI-powered enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of MLOps and model deployment practices.
• Exposure to manufacturing, industrial software, IoT, or connected product ecosystems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
