Software Engineering Senior Analyst
Position Overview
The Software Engineering Senior Analyst role will report to the Software Engineering Senior Manager and will play a pivotal role within a high-performing team whose main objective is to enable the strategic and tactical allocation of new and existing employees within the organization to optimize staffing levels, talent acquisition efforts, and employee utilization based on business needs and availability of internal and external talent, thus ensuring the right people are placed in the right roles at the right time.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Pega case management, workflow, UI, data, and integration components.
- Deliver end-to-end features across Pega, AWS services (SQS, EKS, Step Functions, Lambda), Python-based APIs/automation, and PostgreSQL.
- Implement scalable and secure integrations using APIs, events, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Apply Pega best practices for performance, reusability, guardrails, and maintainability.
- Develop and optimize Python services and automation supporting workflows and data movement.
- Design and tune PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and data access patterns for performance and reliability.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, quality gates, and deployment controls.
- Improve production reliability through observability, performance tuning, and defect prevention.
- Participate in L3 production support, incident triage, and root cause remediation.
- Partner with Product Owners and System Analysts to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Apply AI‑augmented development practices for code generation, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
- Mentor engineers and promote modern engineering, quality, and AI‑assisted delivery practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with 3+ years of hands-on Pega delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise in Pega (Case Types, Data Pages, Integrations, UI configuration, rules resolution, performance tuning).
- Strong cross‑stack engineering capability across:
- AWS (cloud-native application deployment and operations)
- Python (API development, automation, service integration)
- PostgreSQL (relational modeling, query optimization, data performance)
- Proven ability to design and troubleshoot end-to-end systems, from UI/workflow through services, data, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, enterprise SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated experience building secure, reliable, and compliant enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Devin, Cursor) responsibly to improve productivity and quality.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on performance, reliability, and defect prevention.
- Effective communicator able to collaborate across business, architecture, security, and operations stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor peers and elevate engineering standards without formal people management responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting underwriting, actuarial pricing, quoting, or sales enablement platforms.
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms into cloud-native or hybrid architectures.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with data integration or analytics tools such as Boomi and/or Qlik.
- Exposure to AI enablement or data platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Ontology, or similar.
- Pega certifications (CSA, CSSA, LSA) or equivalent demonstrated expertise
