Position Overview
Evernorth, a leading health services organization,seeks highly skilled Cloud AI/ML Engineers to join our team. In this position, you will collaborate closely with your development team on projects aligned with Evernorth’s strategic objectives and work alongside subject matter experts to accurately interpret business logic for engineering purposes. The ideal candidate will refactor and wrap models provided by Data Scientists into production-ready batch processing jobs.The Engineer will collaborate with ML operations team in monitoring the performance of the ML models. The role operates within an agile environment, delivering business-centric solutions.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain ML models using CI/CD pipelines
- Refactor code to meet enterprise software standards(error handling, logging and performance)
- Optimize compute resources to ensure models respond quickly while keeping AWS costs low.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to model deployment and performance
- Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards in all implementation activities.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest AL/ML tools, technologies and trends.
- Support existing ML models and other cloud applications as needed.
- Apply Agile principles in design, development, and delivery.
- Collaborate effectively in a high-performing team environment.
- Demonstrate ownership, innovation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of working experience with operationalizing Machine learning models
- 4+ years being part of Agile teams – Scrum or Kanban
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, Spark/Scala
- 4+ years of solution architecting in cloud technology (eg. AWS, Azure, google cloud)
- 4+ Years of working experience with Machine Learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, PyTorch , Spark ML)
- 4+ years of working experience with healthcare domain data and integrating them as key features (feature engineering) within predictive models
- Experience with database systems like Hadoop, Teradata, Redshift, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j,
Cassandra
- Experience with Github/SVN
- Strong understanding of machine learning principles and model lifecycle management
Desired Experience:
- Experience with Databricks
- Familiarity in scripting (JavaScript, R, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
- Gen AI,LLM Implementation & LLM Orchestration
Education:
- Minimum degree required for position (bachelors degree):
- Acceptable Major(s) or Field(s) of Study: Data Science, Computer Science
Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
Nice to have AWS solution architecture and developer certification
Nice to data science and Machine learning certification from a reputed institution
