Role Overview
As a Software Release Manager at Salesforce you are responsible for the continuous delivery of application releases supporting business critical services used by the world’s largest enterprises. You are able to leverage product and program management practices to define and lead innovative initiatives focused on product availability, customer experience, service ownership, scalability, continuous delivery and team development. You use agile methodologies to plan, coordinate, and lead deployments of major product releases, weekly patches, and daily changes in a SaaS environment.

You leverage the analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills that you learned through your bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or another interesting field to lead cross-functional teams and deliver [r]evolutionary solutions.
Minimum Requirements
  • Technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
  • Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives, and technical, and non-technical team members.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
  • Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
  • Exposure to data analytics and reporting is definitely advantageous (any CRM reporting tool)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to successfully partner with all functions across the entire company.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Requirements
  • Familiar with Service Ownership and DevOps best practices.
  • Experience managing SaaS Cloud Application releases.
  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform and products.
  • Familiarity with compliance and security standards, policies, and risk management.
  • Public cloud infrastructure knowledge.
  • Comfortable bending between the tactical and strategic.
  • Ability to manage/juggle multiple priorities without loss of efficiency.
