Software Engineering Manager
Evernorth, a leading Health Services company, is looking for exceptional engineers/developers in our Data and Analytics organization. In this role, you will actively participate with your development team on initiatives that support Evernorth's strategic goals as well as subject matter experts to understand business logic you will be engineering. As a Data Quality Advisor/Manager, you will help develop an integrated architectural strategy to support next-generation capabilities on an enterprise-wide scale. You will work in an agile environment, delivering user-oriented products.

Roles & Responsibilities
Data Quality & Observability Delivery (Hands‑On)
Design, build, and maintain data quality rules, checks, and controls across critical data pipelines and domains.
Lead implementation and expansion of data observability capabilities, including monitoring, alerting, and issue triage.
Partner with engineering and platform teams to embed data quality and observability into pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and CI/CD processes.
Perform root cause analysis for data quality incidents and partner with upstream/downstream teams on remediation.
Contribute directly to backlog items, technical designs, and solution reviews alongside the team.
Team Leadership & People Management
Directly manage and mentor four Hyderabad‑based Data Quality team members, providing clear goals, feedback, and development guidance.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the onshore Data Quality Execution Team and the Hyderabad Data Quality team.
Own sprint‑level planning, work allocation, and delivery accountability for the Hyderabad team.
Foster strong technical capability, accountability, and ownership within the team.
Support performance management, coaching, and skill development in alignment with enterprise expectations.
Ensure consistent communication, delivery transparency, and alignment across time zones.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Education:
11 - 13 years of experience in data management, data analysis, data profiling, and statistical techniques.
5 Years of experience managing the Data engineering teams.
Must have a thorough understanding of concepts of Data Quality
Hands-on-experience with Data Quality tool is a must.
Strong understanding of Collibra DI views, glossary hierarchies, and governance workflows.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python, Pyspark, including automation, data processing, and script optimization.
Must be proficient in writing Advanced SQL queries going against multiple databases.
Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics ecosystems.
Proven ability to balance technical contribution with people leadership.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
