The Sr. Software Engineer I is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that meet business and technical requirements. This role contributes to end-to-end product delivery, collaborates across teams, and ensures high-quality engineering practices across the development lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and debug applications and software components aligned to business requirements
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to define and refine technical solutions
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical designs
  • Contribute to full lifecycle delivery including design, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Ensure code quality through best practices, documentation, and adherence to standards
  • Support operational excellence by deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production systems
  • Participate in code reviews and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices
  • Contribute to evaluating new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve efficiency
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team
  • Take ownership of assigned features/components from development through production support
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of software development experience (aligned to Sr. Engineer I level; inferred from capability band positioning)
  • Hands-on experience with modern software development practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps exposure)
  • Experience with application design, development, testing, and debugging
  • Experience working with APIs, microservices, and web-based applications
  • Solid proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar)
  • Proven solid problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging tools
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance)
  • Exposure to domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, or distributed systems
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with modern UI frameworks or full-stack development
