Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company. We free people and agents to ship what’s next.
For more than a decade, Vercel has shaped how the web is built. As the team behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, we create products that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now, software is entering a new era, and the next generation of products will not just be used by people. They will be built, extended, and operated by agents.
We are building the platform for that future, trusted by companies like OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. Whether you’re building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you’ll help define what comes next.
As an Engineering Intern at Vercel, you will be an important part of our engineering team, working on real projects that will impact our products and customers. You will be mentored by experienced engineers and will be given opportunities to grow and learn.
What You Will Do:Work will vary by team - but your general scope will include, but not be limited to:
- Own an end-to-end project: scope it with your manager, build it, ship it, and see it in customers' hands.
- Write and review production code alongside the engineers who maintain it.
- Debug real systems under real conditions - trace an issue through the stack and fix the root cause.
- Communicate your progress clearly, including when you're blocked.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, graduating December 2027 or May 2028.
- Strong knowledge and capability with JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Experience with Go or Rust is a bonus.
- You dig into problems rather than around them - you want to know why something broke.
- You move work forward on your own. You surface blockers early instead of waiting to be asked.
- You communicate well in writing. Much of how we work is asynchronous and written down.
- Fluent with AI tooling and clear-eyed about it. You use it to move faster, and you can still explain, defend, and debug everything you ship.
- Based in San Francisco, willing and able to commute Mon/Tues/Fri.
- Competitive compensation package, including equity.
- Inclusive Healthcare Package.
- Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
- Flexible Time Off.
- We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $110,000 - $132,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.

What We Do
From solo developers building their first app to large enterprise teams if it needs to be fast, reliable, and beautifully built, it runs on Vercel. Our platform powers millions of deployments a day. We started with a simple belief: the web should be fast for everyone, everywhere. That belief became Next.js. Then a platform. Then the infrastructure layer for the AI-native web. We are backed by the amazing team at Accel and CRV, and we're headquartered in San Francisco.
