As a Software Engineer at Alteryx, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team driving the future of data analytics.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Software Engineers with 3 years to 4 years of experience to join our growing team in Bangalore. As an integral member of the engineering team, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions that drive Alteryx's mission to democratize data analytics.

As a software engineer in the Cloud Connectivity Platform domain, you’ll play a critical role in designing and building core backend services that enable seamless, secure, and scalable data connectivity. This is a platform role, building reusable services and APIs that serve as the foundation for multiple product teams and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Participates in code reviews for the engineers on your team, ensuring our delivery of clean, well-tested, and performant software.
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.
• Debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and stay competitive.
• Helps in the development of a great work environment through being a mentor to juniors within their team.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of design and development experience preferably leveraging open source and open standards; experience with API and/or SDK development preferred .
• Strong knowledge of Java language .
• Knowledge of and/or experience with object oriented and functional design patterns.
• Experience using Git and Git-based pipelines.
• Experience mentoring and developing others.
• Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail .
• Growth mindset, hungry for new challenges and experiences.

Awesome to Have:

• Experience with data analytics or business intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with distributed computing, big data(Apache Spark, Hadoop)
• Experience in the data domain — particularly data integration, ingestion, or connectivity patterns.
• Familiarity with API gateways, connector frameworks, or third-party data integrations.
• Background working with multi-tenant, secure cloud platforms.
• Experience in designing internal developer platforms or SDKs.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerized application development and deployment.
• Experience in building AI agents or integrating with LLMs

Must Have:

• 2+ years of backend software development experience with a strong track record in shipping scalable production systems.
• Expertise in Java and frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of designing and operating distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Strong background in modern observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar).
• Experience building platform-level capabilities, including APIs, SDKs, and services consumed by other engineering teams.
• Solid grasp of RESTful API design, service reliability, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across teams.
• Proactive and self-driven, able to lead technical initiatives and drive them to completion with minimal guidance.
• Experience in code gen agents such as Claude, Gemini Antigravity,Codex
