About This Role:
We’re looking for a B2B Software Engineer (Python/AWS) to join our growing Gainsight Customer Communities team. This role is a hybrid role based out of our Wroclaw office.
In this role, you’ll build software with purpose and joy, playing a key role in evolving our large-scale SaaS platform as we transition from a monolithic architecture to a distributed, cloud-native system on AWS. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in environments rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and a beginner’s mind (what we call Shoshin) and enjoy working cross-functionally with teams. The ideal candidate thrives on hands-on challenges, enjoys working with modern tools, and embraces real ownership.
The Stack You’ll Be Working On:
Languages: Python (Main), PHP(Legacy) and React (frontend)
Cloud: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, ECS, S3, CloudWatch)
CI/CD: Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub
We believe developers own quality - we don’t rely on a separate QA team, you build it, you test i,t and continuously improve the existing E2E testing framework.
What You’ll Do:
Work on backend services written in PHP (monolith) with already several services in Python. We are transitioning our monolith into independent, scalable AWS-based services.
Contribute to backend design, development, and testing within a fast-moving, agile team.
Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers (React) to build meaningful features for our users.
Write clean, tested, and observable code - from unit tests to E2E, you’ll own the full quality pipeline.
Participate in code reviews, team rituals, and knowledge sharing with peers across teams.

What we’re looking for:
5-10 years of backend engineering experience in production environments
Proficiency with Python and working knowledge of AWS (especially serverless technologies like Lambda and API Gateway)
Experience with CI/CD workflows and confidence in deploying to production
Familiarity with automated testing and writing reliable, testable code
Motivation to learn, grow, and contribute in a team that values autonomy
Strong communication skills in English (our engineering language)

Our Compensation and Benefits: At Gainsight, we believe great work happens when teammates feel fully supported.
The starting base salary PLN 15,000 to 20,000 monthly. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and location.
