The Spectacles team is pushing the boundaries of technology to bring people closer together in the real world. Our fifth-generation Spectacles, powered by Snap OS, showcase how standalone, see-through AR glasses make playing, learning, and working better together.
We are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join the Spectacles Computer Vision Team in Vienna, Austria!
What You Will Do
In this role, you will be working in a small team writing efficient code for our most exciting products, solving some of our industry’s toughest challenges and developing the next generation of wearable devices. Working from our Vienna office, you will be collaborating closely with other Snap hardware and software teams around the world. You will:
Enable developers to create novel immersive AR experiences on Snap Spectacles
Prototype APIs and AR experiences to demonstrate and evaluate new computer vision capabilities
Interface with computer vision engineering, product and creators to shape and launch new features
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong knowledge in C++
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
Comfortable with large code bases, code reviews and version control (git)
Minimum Qualifications
BSc in Computer Science, or equivalent field
At least 1 year of experience in native software development (C++)
Preferred Qualifications
Practice designing SDKs, APIs and Platforms
Understanding of computer vision fundamentals
Experience with ARcore / ARkit / Unity / Unreal
Experience with Typescript (or similar scripting language)
