Job Title – Software Engineer
The Purpose of This Role

As part of our digital transformation, we have significant investments to create innovative big data capabilities and platforms on Cloud. One of them is to build various enterprise data lakes by gathering data across Business Units also provide good Data Management and Governance capabilities. We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer who can help us design and develop our next generation, cloud enabled data capabilities including Data Management & Governance space.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing Enterprise Cyber Security Group. The hire will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipelines, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced modern data technologist with special focus on data ingestion, processing and consumption technologies. Candidate must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams (Client Management), systems, and products both in Cloud and on-prem. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our organization’s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.
The Skills that are Key to this role
Technical / Behavioral
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
Experience in cloud services such as AWS, Azure or GCP and experience with Big Data technologies on Cloud
Experience building and optimizing ‘Big Data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
Strong Data modeling experience for OLTP/OLAP and No SQL scenarios
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
Very good organizational skills. Knowledge of agile methods is a plus.
Successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres databases
Experience with project management tools (agile tools), Office tools & presentation skills
Knowledge of operationalizing any Data solutions involving popular Cloud Services in Aws/Azure
Experience/Knowledge on Kubernetes and Containerization
Knowledge of Logging, Telemetry and data security on AWS/Azure
Experience with Snowflake will be an added advantage
Good knowledge on ETL/ELT experience with both structured and unstructured data stores.
Understanding of Data Modeling and experience in any of the Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, GIT, Concourse, Terraform) tools
Experience in programming languages/Scripting tools any two: Python/Java, Shell Scripting etc.
The Skills that is good to have for this role
Experience with Snowflake and Data Science/ AI/ML
Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Java, C++, Scala, etc. is preferred
