What you will do with your teammates
• Develop and enhance back-end micro services and APIs that exceed our customer's expectations. This includes working on unit and functional test automation to ensure platform stability as well as maintaining and improving CI/CD implementation practices.
• Foster the growth of Agile cloud development practices within the organization.
• Pioneer new and innovative solutions by leveraging the newest offerings from AWS.
• Provide support and technical guidance for domains in the factory architecture that makes up part of our complex satellite imagery ground systems.
• Collaborate with skilled and motivated teammates and peers. To us, this means being empathetic, an active listener, and proactively helping others through knowledge sharing, being willing to aid those needing assistance, and working through challenges collaboratively as a team.
• Provide Tier-3 level support for the software applications that you and your team owns.
Minimum Requirements for this Position
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to apply for and hold a US Government Secret National Security Clearance
• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related major. 4 years of professional work experience in software engineering related role may substitute education requirements.
• Entry-level candidates will have demonstrated a background working with Java, Python, or similar software application development languages.
• Associate-level candidates will have 2+ years of engineering experience providing enterprise solutions with Java, Python, or similar software application development languages. A Master's degree in a technical discipline may count for 2 years of professional experience.
These skills and traits would be amazing
• Agile software development lifecycle experience
• Exposure to building and supporting solutions in an AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience with JSON/REST, Service Oriented Architectures, Spatial Databases, and/or Linux
• Experience building monitoring and alerting systems in a serverless architecture
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to stay organized while balancing multiple priorities

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $80,000.00 - $132,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
