Job Description

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Software Development, including embedded processors and applications
  • Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues 
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Has internal and some external contacts
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software or Electrical Engineering
  • 2-4 years related engineering experience
  • Experience with programming languages and technologies: C++, Python, Linux administration, Docker
  • Experience with embedded technologies and sensor interfaces: network protocols, serial, I2C, CAN, etc.
  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient with all development tools
  • Excellent organization and communication (written and verbal) skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Training Requirements:  

  • Knowledge Based Product Development

  • In accordance with Teledyne Marine Systems safety policies

  • Occasional work in manufacturing area internal
