Position Overview

The Software Engineer will serve as a developer for the NetSuite application, focusing on all aspects of software development, including requirements gathering, estimating, design, coding, testing, and production support. This role requires collaboration, organization, and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently to develop solutions to complex problems. The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple initiatives, tactical project needs, and production support work.

What You'll Do

  • Requirements Gathering and Design: Facilitate meetings to identify requirements, design solutions, solve problems, and validate system functionality. Collaborate with stakeholders and various ecosystems to translate business needs into technical requirements. Manage custom record types and research how they are working with other parts of the business and resolve any related scripts that could be improved. 
  • Development and Integration: Design, configure, code, and test customizations and integrations with NetSuite and other solutions. Develop high-quality software solutions that align with business needs and technical standards.
  • Documentation and Support: Document requirements, design specifications, test cases, and code with detailed comments for future reference. Provide ongoing production support/training and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
  • Configuration: Configure NetSuite and other integrated solutions to ensure optimal performance and security. Manage system configurations in line with best practices.
  • Project Management: Manage action items and tasks to meet project milestones and operational deadlines. Communicate project status updates and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required to meet project or company needs. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes and solutions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with NetSuite development, including experience with basic NetSuite administration to include managing various custom record types, workflows, reports, and searches. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development and building integrations between cloud-based solutions.
  • Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Computer and Information Sciences, or a related field preferred. Will consider experience in place of degree.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to build relationships and collaborate with various departments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of NetSuite and software development practices.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication: Clear and concise communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to changing priorities and demand
