We are looking for an engineer to build standalone applications, internal tools and automations end to end — design, integration, deployment and support. The pipeline of projects is varied and growing, the technology is current, and there is real room to take on more as you deliver.
What you'll do• Build standalone web applications and internal tools used across the business
• Integrate with internal systems and third-party services via APIs
• Deploy and host your applications on Azure — CI/CD, environments, access control, monitoring
• Automate manual workflows, including LLM- and agent-based automation where it genuinely fits
• Work with stakeholders to turn a vague problem into a scoped, shippable application
• Stay close to your applications after launch
What we're looking forMust have
• Python — your primary working language, used for real applications and not just scripts
• Git and comfort in the command line — branching, reviews, general fluency in a terminal
• APIs — designing them, consuming them, and integrating systems that were never meant to talk to each other
• Application development — solid fundamentals across frontend, backend and database, and an understanding of how the three fit together
• Deployment — you have put applications into production, kept them running, and dealt with what breaks
• Observability and monitoring — you know what your application is doing once it is live
• Agentic coding — fluent daily use of Claude Code, Codex or equivalent as your working method
• 2–4 years of hands-on software engineering experience
Good to have
• Embeddings, vector storage and RAG
• Agent tooling and MCP servers
• Containerisation (Docker or equivalent)
• Cloud experience, ideally Azure (App Service, Functions, storage, SQL, DevOps pipelines)
Skills Required
- 2-4 years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Professional experience using Python as a primary working language
