About the Role
We're looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain features for a large-scale consumer platform used by millions of people worldwide. You'll work across the stack with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship reliable, well-tested code. You'll also help improve the systems that keep the product fast and dependable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship features across front-end and back-end services
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to turn requirements into technical solutions
- Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and help strengthen monitoring and alerting
- Contribute to technical documentation and share knowledge across the team
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, or Go
- Experience building and operating web services or distributed systems at scale
- Solid grasp of testing, code review, and continuous integration and deployment practices
- Clear communication and strong cross-team collaboration
Preferred
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or similar) and containerized services
- Experience with React or other modern front-end frameworks
- Background in consumer-facing, marketplace, or travel products
Key Details
- Start Date: Flexible
- Duration: Long-term contract (length to be confirmed)
- Location: Remote (within the U.S.)
- Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
- Pay Rate: $85-$94/hour
- Employment Type: W-2 (no C2C or 1099)
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Engagement: Contract role through Maleda Tech.
