Join Qantas in our brand-new Product Innovation Centre located in Adelaide will contribute to consumer needs by architecting and delivering robust, scalable systems that power seamless digital experiences, ensuring fast, secure, and reliable services that support evolving customer expectations. 

As a Mobile Back-End Developer, you’ll be responsible for guiding and leading the architecture, delivery and development of the software systems that power our business unit. A hands-on, highly skilled software developer with the experience to dive into code to deliver high quality, well-designed software. You will share responsibility for the quality of the software being built, including but not limited to; achieving desired business outcomes, meeting reliability and performance expectations and safely managing security and data privacy concerns. 

You’ll have:

• 3+ years in a hands-on Software Engineering role 
• Experience in designing and building backend API's
• Proven technology experience with Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Git, CI/CD 
• A real passion for quality, clean code and continuous improvement 
• A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design 
• Highly dedicated ethos - expected to take very real accountability for the work you're doing 
• Demonstrable ability to motivate self and others, and a passion to mentor junior developers 
• Experience working with technical and non-technical partners
• A test and learn mindset with curiosity, collaboration and care 
• Experience with server-driven architectures will be well regarded
