This critical role is for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Commodity Price Engine (CPE) expert who will be pivotal in shaping our commodity management and pricing strategies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex pricing solutions within SAP S/4HANA, enabling our organization to accurately manage commodity-based costs, revenues, and risks. This involves leveraging CPE to handle intricate pricing formulas, integrate real-time market data, and support dynamic pricing across our procurement, sales, and financial operations. Responsibilities- Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP CPE within the SAP S/4HANA environment. This includes customizing pricing rules, procedures, formulas, and conditions to meet specific business and compliance needs.
- Commodity Pricing Models: Collaborate closely with business teams (e.g., procurement, sales, finance, risk management) to analyze, define, and refine commodity pricing models and strategies.
- Integration: Ensure seamless and accurate integration of SAP CPE with other SAP S/4HANA modules such as RMS, PMSA, Materials Management (MM), Account and Finance modules
- External Data Integration: Design and implement solutions for integrating external market data and basis prices into CPE to support dynamic and real-time pricing scenarios.
- Advanced Functionalities: Apply expertise in advanced CPE functionalities, including but not limited to BRF+ (Business Rule Framework plus) integration, Contract Pricing Framework (CPF), price fixation, and risk analytics related to commodity pricing and hedging.
- Business Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize existing business processes related to commodity handling, contracts, market pricing, and risk management through effective utilization of CPE.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level functional and technical support for complex CPE-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions.
- Documentation & Training: Develop comprehensive functional specifications, technical documentation, and user training materials for CPE solutions. Conduct user training sessions as needed.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Plan and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for CPE configurations and developments to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest SAP S/4HANA CPE functionalities, industry best practices, and emerging trends in commodity management, recommending continuous improvements and innovations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of overall SAP functional experience, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specifically with SAP Commodity Price Engine (CPE) in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Full lifecycle SAP CPE implementations experience.
- Deep functional and technical knowledge of SAP CPE, including configuration of pricing formulas, rules, conditions, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of commodity trading, contract management, commodity management, hedging, and risk analytics processes.
- Proficiency in integrating CPE with PMSA and MM pricing, and other relevant modules.
- Experience with BRF+ integration for defining complex pricing logic.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective SAP CPE solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience working in Agile project environments.
