Meet the Team
The Cisco Wireless Platform team builds the foundational embedded software that powers Cisco’s wireless products. We work closely with hardware, system architecture, test, and product teams to bring up new platforms, enable core subsystems, and deliver reliable, high-performance software at scale. Our work spans platform bring-up, low-level software development, system integration, and product readiness for enterprise wireless solutions.
Your ImpactYou will design, develop, and validate wireless features across the full stack, owning both implementation and test automation to ensure high-quality system behavior.
Design and implement end-to-end wireless features across AP, controller, and management layers
Own feature validation, including test plans, automation, and system testing
Debug complex issues spanning firmware, networking, and system layers
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of features
Drive improvements in test coverage, automation, and quality practices
Collaborate across multiple engineering teams
Promote AI-assisted development and test automation practices
7+ years of experience in wireless or networking software
Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python
Solid understanding of 802.11 protocols and system behavior
Experience with wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X)
Experience in Wireless Access point Drivers and Firmware
Experience with test automation and system validation
Ability to own features end-to-end (development + testing)
Experience with:
Roaming (802.11k/v/r)
Mesh networking
Load balancing / client steering
QoS and traffic management
Familiarity with lab setup and test infrastructure
