The Role
We are building the next generation of our data platform to support revenue management and financial planning applications. This role is focused on developing scalable data pipelines, APIs, and data services using modern cloud technologies.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering teams to design and build reliable data solutions that power business critical applications. This is primarily a new development role with opportunities to contribute to platform architecture, engineering standards, and AI enabled development practices.
Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable data pipelines and data services.
Build reliable and efficient data solutions using modern cloud and open-source technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, and Agile delivery.
Leverage AI assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
Experience building ETL or ELT pipelines and working with relational databases.
Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, PostgreSQL, DuckDB, Airflow, Kafka, or similar technologies.
Understanding of REST APIs and modern data architectures.
Experience using AI assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT.
Familiarity with Large Language Models and their practical application in software engineering.
Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile Scrum teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Lakehouse architectures and modern open table formats.
Experience with CI and CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
Exposure to financial services or enterprise data platforms.
