Equifax is seeking a creative, high-energy, and driven Software Engineer with hands-on skills to design and implement AI-native systems. What you’ll do
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of cloud native, designed to support distributed, agentic microservices and scalable GenAI workloads (e.g., inference endpoints, RAG pipelines, vector databases)
- Deliver AI-driven solutions for complex business problems through software standard SDLC
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders (product, business) to co-design agentic systems and articulate the value, risks, and capabilities of GenAI solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, simplifying complex AI/agentic behaviors (e.g., emergent properties, prompt engineering) for non-technical stakeholders and diving deep into model architecture and data pipelines when neede
- Build and manage strong technical teams that deliver GenAi complex software solutions that scale
- Manage teams with cross functional skills that include AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and prompt engineers alongside traditional software, quality, and reliability roles to build holistic AI systems
- Provide deep troubleshooting skills to solve production AI issues under pressure, including model drift, data poisoning, hallucinations, and agent non-determinism
- Mentor, coach and develop junior and senior software, quality and reliability engineers
- Lead with a data-driven mindset focused on AI-specific metrics (e.g., token cost, RAG accuracy, inference latency, RLHF) to optimize and create efficient LLM and agentic solution
- Ensure compliance with EFX secure software development guidelines and best practices and responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs
- Define, maintain and report SLA, SLO, SLIs meeting EFX engineering standards in partnership with the product, engineering and architecture teams
- Collaborate with architects, SRE leads and other technical leadership on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices
- Drive up-to-date technical documentation including support, end user documentation and run books
- Lead Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activity
- Responsible for implementation architecture decisions, including model selection (build vs. buy vs. fine-tune), agentic framework selection, and RAG pipeline optimization
- Create and deliver technical presentations on GenAI strategies, agent capabilities, and performance metrics, translating complex model behaviors into clear, audience-appropriate business impacts
What experience you need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of integrating complex systems and building enterprise-scale automated solutions
- 7+ years experience experience designing and developing cloud-native microservices (as agent-callable tools/APIs) using Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask) and GKE/Kubernetes
- 7+ years experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., GCP Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Studio) to consume, deploy, and manage AI models and agentic workflow
- 7+ years experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions
- 7+ years experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs
- English Proficiency B2

- Source code control management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, Github) and build tools like Maven & Gradle.
- Agile environments (e.g. Scrum, XP)
- Relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL)
- Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Github)
- Developing with modern JDK (v1.7+)
