Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer I with 15-18 years of experience in software development, particularly in the .NET stack, AWS, and exposure to other programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, React). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership in technical architecture, guiding teams in building and scaling microservices in a high-traffic ad-tech domain. They will contribute to our high-performing team by providing strategic guidance, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving the continuous improvement of our ad platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with IT Architects, Engineers, and Business stakeholders to define the platform's technical and business functionality.
- Lead the migration of legacy systems into a new AWS VPC, ensuring seamless integration of components without impacting business processes.
- Architect and develop microservices that handle high transaction volumes, leveraging AWS services like Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Act as a mentor to junior engineers, encouraging continuous learning in new tech stacks such as React and Go.
- Drive initiatives around continuous integration and delivery pipelines, ensuring alignment with compliance and security standards.
- Provide leadership in planning, task definition, reporting, and problem-solving across geographically distributed teams.
- Participate in team retrospectives and design reviews, promoting empathy and feedback as tools for growth and innovation.
- Implement performance testing, monitoring, and optimization practices using modern tools and methodologies.
Experience & Qualifications
- 15-18 years of experience in Microsoft .NET and C# development, with significant exposure to cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred).
- Proven track record in leading distributed system designs, particularly with microservices in ad-tech or other high-volume transaction environments.
- Strong knowledge of data handling technologies such as Cassandra, Spark, Hadoop, or similar big data tools.
- Experience in ad-tech is a plus but not required; an interest in working with telematics data and programmatic advertising will be key to success.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating across global locations.
