Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot) on Azure
- Build Python-based services, automation scripts, and integration utilities
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, perform query tuning, and design relational data structures
- Work with Azure Cloud services for deployment, configuration, monitoring, and integrations
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirement gathering, impact assessment, and design discussions
- Follow engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, version control, and CI/CD processes
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specifications and walkthrough materials
- Prioritize work effectively, ensure timely delivery, and maintain code quality and performance
- Comply with company policies, guidelines, and work expectations
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- Hands-on backend development experience using Spring Boot
- Working experience developing automation or services using Python
- Experience with Azure Cloud services (App Services, Functions, API Management, Storage, etc)
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- CI/CD experience using Azure DevOps/Jenkins and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience using AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ) and interest in growing into an AI Builder role
- Solid proficiency in SQL including complex queries, tuning, and database design
- Proven solid communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborate with cross-functional groups
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with React
- Exposure to ETL/data integration tools like Talend
