Primary Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain Oracle Exadata systems/ZDLRA/OCI, including full stack patching, configuration, and hardware component replacements
  • Perform infrastructure management, capacity planning, and performance tuning across Exadata environments (on-premises and cloud)
  • Analyze and optimize Exadata-specific features such as Smart Scan, Storage Indexes, Smart Flash Cache, IORM, DBRM, and Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC)
  • Monitor Exadata growth and storage utilization, and perform accurate capacity estimations
  • Configure static routes and manage networking interfaces across Exadata servers and storage cells
  • Manage Oracle databases on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) @ Azure/AWS
  • Support Oracle database migrations to OCI@Azure/AWS if required
  • Automate routine tasks using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting
  • Monitor system health using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM/Grid Control)
  • Participate in incident and change management processes using ServiceNow
  • Provide on-call support, including shift and weekend coverage
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Exadata-specific, RAC, ASM, multitenant architecture, OEM, patching, security, Data Guard, DG Broker, and RMAN
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Exadata Administrator
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant architecture and security governance
  • Hands-on experience with Exadata hardware diagnostics, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with ZDLRA administration
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident/change management and OEM/Grid Control for monitoring
  • Solid understanding of Oracle Exadata architecture and Database Machine Administration (DMA)
  • Proficiency in OCI architecture, resource provisioning, IAM policy configuration, and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Proven expertise in RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and performance tuning
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and remain composed in high-stress situations
  • Proven appetite for continuous learning and technical skill enhancement
  • Willingness to work in shifts and participate in on-call rotation
