About the Role
As a Product Release Coordinator and Variant Coding Engineer, you will be responsible for managing product releases, coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders, and ensuring accurate variant coding across programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely, error‑free product releases while maintaining consistency between engineering data, configurations, and product variants throughout the lifecycle.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate product releases across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and program teams.
- Manage release schedules, milestones, and dependencies to ensure on‑time deliveries.
- Own and maintain variant coding and configuration data across platforms and product lines.
- Validate correctness and consistency of feature codes, options, and variants.
- Ensure alignment between engineering BOMs, product configurations, and release documentation.
- Support change management activities, including ECR/ECO analysis and implementation.
- Track, analyze, and report release readiness, risks, and dependencies.
- Act as a single point of contact for release‑related coordination and communication.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, quality standards, and customer requirements.
What Makes You Eligible
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science or related disciplines).
- 3 to 6 years of experience in product release coordination, configuration management, or variant coding.
- Hands-on experience working in automotive or embedded product environments.
- Experience coordinating with cross‑functional global teams.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and release processes.
- Hands-on experience with variant coding, configuration management, or product options handling.
- Working knowledge of BOM structures, part numbers, and change management workflows.
- Experience using tools such as PLM systems, Excel, Jira, Confluence, or similar tracking tools.
- Ability to analyze complex data and ensure accuracy across variants and releases.
- Strong organizational and attention‑to‑detail skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, milestone‑driven environment.

- Prior experience in automotive OEM or Tier‑1 supplier environments.
- Hands-on exposure to SAP / Teamcenter / Windchill / PTC / similar PLM tools.
- Knowledge of vehicle variants, feature coding, or market‑specific configurations.
- Experience supporting multiple programs/releases simultaneously.
- Exposure to quality, homologation, or regulatory considerations in product releases.
