As a Software Engineer on the product team you will build and maintain the client-facing applications — Angular on the front end, Node.js and Express services behind them, and the data layer underneath. You will develop features end to end, design and build RESTful services and microservices, write your own tests, participate in code review as both author and reviewer, and take ownership of your work through to production rather than handing it over at merge. You will debug real production issues across tiers, which is where most of the genuine learning on this platform happens, and work in containerized environments with Docker. AI is part of the work here, both in how we build — AI-assisted development is normal practice on this team — and in what we build, as AI capability moves into the product. There is a clear growth path toward Senior Software Engineer, and the modernization work happening between our mature payroll core and the modern stack means genuinely interesting architecture to grow into rather than years of maintenance. You will need:
