DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires seven (7) years of experience with the following: Core Java; and J2EE. This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following: utilizing Java performance measurement and profiling tools to optimize the performance of RCP-based standalone applications, identify bottlenecks, and implement technical solutions. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Shell scripting; and working in Linux environments including performing automation and system administration tasks. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: all phases of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance; utilizing one or more programming languages including functions of collections, streaming, multithreading, and concurrency; designing and developing standalone software applications using Java, particularly with Eclipse's Rich Client Platform (RCP); architecting robust, scalable solutions tailored to client requirements; implementing advanced multithreading and concurrency techniques within Java applications and ensuring efficient resource utilization and high performance; Spring Framework including building SOAP web services and RESTful web services; leveraging Spring's features for enterprise-grade application development; using build and integration tools including Maven, Git, and Jenkins to manage complex build processes, continuous integration, and version control; performing application log monitoring and analysis using Dynatrace to diagnose issues and optimize application performance; working with application servers including Apache Tomcat to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications; delivering comprehensive system design; test driven software development; writing JUnit test cases for unit testing; and ensuring code quality and reliability through rigorous testing practices.

Full-Time. Salary:  $189,592 - $215,000 per year.
