The Linux Networking Drivers team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role you will be supporting software development and quality engineering activities with a high degree of independence. Focused primarily on Linux networking drivers, Infiniband, and RDMA, the role involves implementing features, automating tasks, and debugging complex systems. What you will do:Follow the lead of other engineers and architects to create and review software design proposals on feasibility, scalability, security, maintainability, and fitness to purpose.
Test self or teammates' work to ensure the proposal is working as expected and no regression has been introduced.
Analyze system performance metrics to participate in capacity planning activities and resolve system performance issues.
Write automated testing routines to verify the continued correct operation of new and existing features.
Provide software updates and promote them through CI/CD environment
Review requests for enhancement (RFE) with product managers to establish system requirements and designs.
Design test strategy, test plan, and test cases for any needed bugs or features.
Adhere and follow defined Software Development Lifecycle (SLDC) processes.
Proactively leverage AI technologies to streamline workflows, simplify processes, and enhance overall efficiency.
Proactively utilize and experiment with AI-assisted tools and technologies, such as code generation, auto-completion, and intelligent suggestions, to accelerate development cycles, enhance code quality, and support test design, automation, and peer review throughout the development lifecycle.
Work in a Scrum team, collaborate with associates, Scrum Master, and Product Owner to deliver high priority results.
Project experience with any programming language like C, Python, shell scripting, etc.
Knowledge of Software Development or Quality Assurance
Familiarity with the Linux kernel
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent working experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of AI is a plus
Knowledge of Scrum is a plus
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
