We are currently looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Global Cybersecurity team. In this role, you will develop intelligent tools, automation solutions, and AI-powered applications that strengthen NOV's global technology infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Develop security tools and automation solutions using Python and other programming languages to enhance cybersecurity operations.
  • Design AI-powered workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate tasks such as:
    • Security alert prioritization and classification.
    • Security incident summarization.
    • Automated audit and reporting.
    • Identity and access policy explanation and validation.
  • Build integrations with platforms such as Okta, SentinelOne, Zscaler, and other security technologies through REST APIs.
  • Develop secure connectors that enable enterprise use of OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and other LLM services.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Data Science teams to develop new automation solutions.
  • Ensure applications comply with secure development, auditing, logging, and data protection standards.
  • Participate in innovation initiatives that accelerate the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence across NOV.

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent conversational English (daily collaboration with international teams).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience developing software with Python.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience developing automation tools or internal software solutions.
  • Knowledge of modern authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC).
  • Experience using Git and version control.
  • Understanding of secure software development best practices.
  • Interest or experience working with cybersecurity technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

  • OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, or LLM-based applications.
  • Cybersecurity process automation.
  • Okta, Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID), SentinelOne, or Zscaler.
  • Terraform, GitHub Actions, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, or Serverless technologies.
  • Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Event-driven architectures (Webhooks, Pub/Sub, Queues).
  • Logging, observability, or SIEM platforms.
  • MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, or similar.
