About Bluebird

We're The Bluebird Group - we're an omnichannel commerce partner that helps brands grow across every retail and digital channel.

We sit at the intersection of retail, eCommerce, media, and data. We help brands show up wherever their customers are (Target, Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Kroger, social commerce like TikTok, and beyond) and drive real sales growth.

We're not just strategists - we're a hands-on team of experienced retail operators who execute across everything from retail media and creative to data, insights, and full go-to-market strategy.

The result: we simplify what's become a really complex retail landscape and help brands scale faster and smarter.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a resourceful, ambitious builder excited to work at the intersection of retail analytics, data engineering, and technology enablement. This entry-level role (1–2 years of software or data engineering experience) is ideal for someone who loves data, enjoys solving problems, working with a driven team, and wants to help create the next generation of retail capabilities.

Foundational knowledge of software and data engineering is important, plus the grit to learn fast, navigate roadblocks, and take ownership of meaningful projects from day one. You’ll work closely with our retail pillar stakeholders to provide valuable solutions while also helping automate workflows, build data pipelines, and support new software tools.

  • Diagnose data issues, validate outputs, and maintain consistency across reporting layers.
  • Document processes, data models, and logic to create a sustainable, maintainable ecosystem.
  • Take on increasingly complex projects as technical depth grows.
  • Meet with product owners and stakeholders to ensure you are up to date on the needs of that retail pillar
    Retail Innovation (20%)
  • Working with the greater team to build innovative software solutions that serve Bluebird at scale
  • Create industry-leading tools that continue to serve our brands and internal team at a high level
  • Working as a team to ideate, architect, and surface valuable software solutions

  • 0–2 years in software engineering or data engineering.
  • Understand databases, data structures, and data cleaning/transformation.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and BI tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
  • Git and github
