The two principal owners of JGS, Kenneth Hager and Vincent Hager, represent in excess of 40 carriers both national and regional. What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop new scalable commercial applications using .Net technology
- Maintain continuity of existing applications
- Work closely with a team of engineers, product managers, business analysts in an agile team environment
- Participate in code reviews and QA testing
- Collaborate on system designs and review designs of others
- Mentoring others in development technologies, tools, and processes
- Collaborate with leadership, customers, partners, and stakeholders to move initiatives forward, balancing competing needs and distilling a coherent strategy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 8+ years of strong professional hands-on .NET experience
- C#, ASP.Net MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery experience
- SQL Server, database queries/design/modeling
- Agile software development
- Desire to learn new technologies/tools as needed
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Education and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree - B.A. / B.S., Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other engineering discipline preferred.
- Experience in working in insurance industry a plus.
