THE ROLE & THE TEAM
At Partner Tech - Assortment and Inbound, we are building and maintaining a broad array of services used by internal and external Partners to create and manage the assortment that will be offered in Zalando’s Fashion Store.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will build the services that will enable a highly automated and scalable system landscape to ensure a seamless experience in the whole purchase-to-pay process that is used to create and manage a profitable assortment.. In doing so, you will make impactful contributions to our vision of making Zalando the starting point for fashion.

Design, develop, deploy, and improve scalable software solutions that directly impact our daily business, using cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, contributing to project scope, objectives, and deliverables while embracing an inclusive and diverse team environment.

Own your code and participate in operational duties, including monitoring and maintaining service health and performance.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You have a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and are passionate about solving real-world problems.

You are experienced with JVM technologies (Java or Kotlin), building microservices, and working with Spring Framework.

You understand microservice architecture, REST services, API design, and have experience deploying and operating applications in cloud infrastructure.

You are knowledgeable about engineering practices that result in well-tested, high-quality code, and enjoy collaborating on refactoring and feature implementation.

You care about fostering inclusive team environments and have strong English communication skills.
