About the Role:
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join the Spot team at Flexera and help shape the future of cloud cost optimization. Our mature SaaS product portfolio empowers organizations to automate continuously for optimal cloud performance, cost efficiency and resource availability, and provides full visibility into their cloud infrastructure. What you'll do:
- Actively participate in an agile software development life-cycle
- Implement and troubleshoot multi-layered, SOA structured, cloud-based software application in Java and microservices
- Contribute to the knowledge base, wiki and other Flexera resources to help build the best customer experience
You'll be expected to have:
- 3+ years of experience in developing web applications
- Good experience in developing applications using Java programming language and related frameworks –
- Develop with Spring Boot and Hibernate
- Handling Web services (SOAP and Rest API) and JSON
- Error handling implementation
- Handle and package reusable components
- JSON and File handling
- Package creation for microservices
- Writing test cases and ensuring test coverage
- Experience with an object-oriented language (Ruby, Python, Java), model-view-controller framework experience is a plus
- Experience developing on Linux environments
- Good knowledge on relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL/Mongo DB.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; coordinate complex projects, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with remote teams
- Willing and eager to learn and work with new technologies; must be flexible in approach
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with Azure
- Experience in MySQL and NoSQL (MongoDB / TimescaleDB / RabbitMQ / Redis)
- Hands-on Experience with Elasticsearch infrastructure and configuration
- Experience with following is a plus: JavaScript, AngularJS, Amazon EC2/S3 or other cloud services
