Job Description

Your role is to be responsible for the 'glue' that joins the software development to the manufacturing sites. The software engineering team relies on these systems to turn their code into releasable artefacts that go into production robots around the world.
In Surrey we develop and test the entire robot in our combination office & workshop. We specify, host and manage our own CI/CD pipeline so we have great freedom to build the best system we can to achieve our goals.

We need your experience leading projects and a few other things:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in software development pipelines
  • Be able to discuss build pipeline architectures and describe their structure and purpose
  • Ability to measure the performance of the whole pipeline
  • Listen to users feedback

Qualifications / Skills Required:

  • Formal education with a minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Development, or equivalent
  • Highly proficient interaction with servers and networks, and use of command line tools is required
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins and Docker is required
  • Use of Python, Bash and other scripting languages is required
  • Familiarity with C++ application development is desirable
