Location Requirement: Hybrid - Des Moines – Corporate Office

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Leads in the design and development of applications within multi-complex, inter-related applications, including writing, validating, and modifying code for applications.

• Analyzes day-to-day functionality of signed applications and serves as the main point of contact.

• Provides assistance to other software engineers.

• Guides product teams about access control and security for various enterprise – wide software tools.

• Leads and reviews test results, production data and reports to ensure data quality and integrity.

• Coordinates with design and architecture of core services in support of business applications.

• Serves as an expert in conceptualizing and developing new components and Application Programming Interfaces (API) and providing application support.

• Leads research and recommends new products and technologies, builds prototypes, and partners with other departments in IT to pass on knowledge to support corporate business objectives.

• Mentors and trains other team members on programming techniques and system functionality.

• Reviews supporting documentation and assist in creating the design and architecture documentation and in creating and maintaining standards and best practices documentation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer III, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or similar duties under a different job title. 

• Will accept as equivalent a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience.

• Experience to include 3 years in the following:

  • C#, Java, and/or JavaScript;

  • .Net;

  • Agile;

  • Test Driven Development (TDD);

  • Lucid Chart;

  • Microsoft stack development;

  • Angular Materials, Angular, Angular CLI, Angular Feature Modules, and Redux Angular;

  • TypeScript;

  • JavaScript, Node JS, and JSON;

  • Node module with NPM, NgRx, Postgres, PostgreSQL, and Dbeaver;

  • XML;

  • REST;

  • SQL;

  • HTML,

  • Bootstrap, and Visual Studio;

  • Bamboo;

  • Bitbucket;

  • CSS and SCSS;

  • Git;

  • AWS services including AWS CLI and AWS CDK;

  • Azure and Azure AD;

  • Jasmine;

  • Design Patterns;

  • JIRA;

  • security administration, including encryption;

  •  xUnit tests;

  • Python;

  • CI/CD;

  • oAuth;

  •  Entity Framework and other ORMs;

  • JetBrains ReSharper; Docker; and

  • YAML

Hours per week/Salary: 39 hours per week; salary range between $128,960-$142,762yr
