Software Engineer III

The Software Engineer III is responsible for design, development, documentation and testing of commercial software programs for WellSky.

A day in the life!​

You will be responsible for the following:​

• Analyzing system requirements or specifications, translating them into actionable work units for the team to conceptualize, and developing high quality software using the established coding standards and development best practices 
• Performing all commercial software development duties, including but not limited to technical designing, coding, and unit testing so that high quality commercial software releases are delivered to clients in a predictable and consistent schedule according to WellSky development processes 
• Collaborating with solutions team(s) to define requirements, conducting analysis, and solving problems on a single product/service 
• Enforcing the development of unit tests, automated tests and performance tests as needed to ensure quality, supporting general debugging and isolating areas for improvement. Capturing and analyzing performance test metrics and providing operational documentation 
• Preparing technical documentation, conducting, and participating in code reviews to ensure that commercial software code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices and the highest quality

Required Qualifications:​

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 2-4 years related work experience
• Experience in designing and developing Web-based applications
• Good hands on and working knowledge of Application development and SDLC life cycle process 
• Ability to perform work independently 
• Hands on experience using C#, .NET, Restful Web API, and SQL
• Proficient in debugging applications and performance tuning 
• Nunit, Xunit, or comparable unit testing framework
• Experience with ‘git’ or other source code control systems

Preferred Qualifications:​

• Hands on experience using Angular or similar UI frameworks 
• Cloud technologies is such as GCP, AWS, or Azure 
• Experience working with microservices and event-driven architectures
• DevOps and SRE experience (Azure pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Experience in healthcare domain
• Basic understanding of HL7 standards 
• Customer interaction and support skills​​
• Experience with an Agile Scrum methodology
