Job Title: Software Engineer III
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM Developer to deliver a wide range of technical solutions across the Oracle Fusion HCM suite. You’ll partner with Person Technology teams and HR product teams to design, build, test, and support scalable solutions that meet business requirements, sometimes across multiple initiatives in parallel.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, test, and support technical components within Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud.
- Run technical workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and map business processes to system capabilities.
- Translate business needs into robust system specifications and end‑to‑end solutions; ensure adherence to documented development standards and Oracle “best practice” methods.
- Support and enhance existing solutions, troubleshoot issues, and deliver continuous improvements.
- Build integrations and reports (e.g., HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, APIs) and automate data flows using approved tooling.
- Implement and maintain security (roles, approvals, policies) across HCM modules; contribute to governance and access controls.
Required qualifications & experience
- Oracle Fusion HCM: mid-to-senior‑level background; meaningful hands‑on delivery in Fusion HCM.
- HCM domain expertise: one or more areas such as Core HR, Absence, Compensation, Recruiting (ORC), Talent Management, Security, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, and Journeys
- Redwood UI: Strong expertise with Oracle's Visual Builder Studio and the new Redwood UI capabilities.
- Database/engineering skills: strong PL/SQL and SQL; ability to build complex components and fast formulas.
- Integrations & reporting: extensive work with HCM Extracts and BI Publisher; experience with approval workflows and related orchestration.
- APIs & automation: Fusion HCM / ORC REST API experience, plus familiarity with modern agile tooling.
- Collaboration & delivery: excellent communication, ownership, and the ability to operate in a multi‑tasked environment with periods of pressure.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Nice to have
- Experience conducting technical workshops and business process mapping with HR stakeholders.
- Hands‑on with data loaders and migration tooling (e.g., HDL), test scripting, and production support practices.
- JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar issue and project management experience.
How you’ll work
You’ll collaborate closely with global technology and business teams to engineer modern, end‑to‑end solutions and maintain high standards for security, data integrity, and user experience. Expect proactive problem‑solving, a focus on efficiency, and ownership from design through support.
