Your Team's Impact

The First Party Funds Integration Engineering team develops and maintains real-time data integration processes and databases for FactSet’s core content sets, including Mutual Funds and Exchange-Traded Funds. Our integration engineering group is primarily located in Manila, with close collaboration among teams in the US, France, Hyderabad, and Manila. We are seeking an experienced engineer to help expand our team in Manila and drive ongoing improvements in data integration and delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, test, and deploy robust software features within our ETL pipelines and analytics calculations.

  • Continuously enhance the quality, maintainability, and performance of existing systems.

  • Collaborate with engineering peers, product development teams, and your manager to design and deliver effective solutions.

  • Participate in design discussions, feature brainstorming sessions, and code reviews.

  • Engage in effective project planning and time management to deliver on expected outcomes.

  • Respond to bug reports and development requests via established internal ticketing systems.

  • Build proficiency in the technical and business aspects of our products, contributing to the team’s technical direction.

  • Actively participate in ongoing learning, including attending training sessions and seeking out opportunities for personal skill development.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation for live production support as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Python development (including Pandas and Numpy libraries).

  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively or independently.

  • Dedication to delivering high-quality work and maintaining/supporting it post-deployment.

  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours production support.

  • Experience with ETL pipelines, relational databases (especially SQL), and Linux/Bash scripting.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working with cloud services such as AWS.

  • Familiarity with additional scripting languages (Perl, Bash).

  • Solid foundation in computer science including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

  • Prior experience with agile development practices and code review processes.
