Process Overview*

The Global Information Security (GIS) is responsible for protecting Bank information systems, confidential and proprietary data, and customer information. Cyber Security technology function is responsible of development and maintenance of security products across Bank of America. Team works on various security products and also develops in-house products.

Job Description*

The individual will be part of Identity and Access management domain within Cyber Security technology team that are responsible for the ongoing development of applications that provides Bank of America users with developing products that help enforce IAM controls. We are heavily invested in process automation and want to leverage the candidate’s expertise to shift left in testing to drive higher quality and enable more frequent releases.

Role Description - This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. These individuals possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. 

Primary Level of Engagement: Works as a team member under supervision from a more senior domain expert.

Responsibilities*

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and other related technologies

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, then design and build new features

• Refactor/redesign legacy code base

• Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js)

• Write clean, maintainable , and efficient code following best practices

• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of software quality

• Troubleshoot and debug applications and optimize performance

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements*

Education* B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/M.Sc./MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)

Certifications If Any: Java, Information Security Domain / IAM  (Not Mandatory)

Experience Range* - 8- 13 Years

Foundational skills*

• 8+ years of experience in Java development for large and complex enterprise applications (using JDK 8+ and Spring framework)

• Strong understanding of Java, Spring Frameworks and RESTful APIs

• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks

• Experience with database technologies: SQL, Postgre SQL, or no-SQL databases such as MongoDB. 

• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Thorough understanding of application security concepts, including authentication, authorization, session management. Familiarity with OAuth, OIDC, FIDO protocols and related products

• Solid technical background and understanding of system architecture, loading balancing, TLS

• Familiarity with cryptographic and PKI concept

• Proficiency using software development tools: GIT, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA

Desired skills

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Exposure to microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with containerization tools(Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
