The Mastercard Business Intelligence Application Development Team builds innovative solutions that positions Mastercard as a leader in delivering advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to a global customer base. We collaborate closely with product partners and technical teams to enhance existing products and launch new solutions worldwide.
We are seeking a highly skilled professionals who will:• Support development projects, address production issues, and maintenance, ensuring quality across internal teams and vendors.• Build APIs using Open API specification.

Role
As part of Mastercard's Payment performance Intelligence Program, you will develop and Lead full-stack Java applications with React or Angular as the frontend.
Key Responsibilities• Design and implement software aligned with Mastercard's Enterprise Architecture and services.• Write high-quality, maintainable code that meets business needs and adheres to timelines.• Ensure system design supports zero downtime in production.• Collaborate with business partners on product definition, roadmaps, and business cases.• Address operational and business concerns to ensure consistent delivery of quality services.• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Quality, Product, Engineering).• Work with highly focussed team of engineers with an eye on innovation.
All About You• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact across multiple organisational levels.• Technical Expertise:• Proficient in Java 17+, Spring Stack, Hibernate, and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Redis, MongoDB, Postgres, Elastic Search).

Proficient with Testing methodologies and automation tools like Selenium, MS Playwrite • Proficiency in building and leading application on micro service based architecture• Experience of in working on messaging Frameworks like Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS or any other cloud native solutions.• Frontend experience with React JS (16+) or Angular (14+).• API development using OpenAPI specification.• Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Node.js, and UNIX shell scripting, Python , Groovy scripting• Tools & Methodologies:• Build tools: Gradle/Maven; Automation: Chef/Ansible.• CI/CD: Jenkins, SonarQube; Agile methodologies.• Infrastructure:• Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).• Exposure to Monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK stack is desirable.• Bonus Skills:• Diverse experience of working in multiple languages (Scala, C#, Python etc)• Experience with workflow automation tools (Netflix Conductor, Apache Airflow, Camunda, N8N).• OpenTelemetry skills will be an extra plus• Familiarity with rules engines (Drools, EasyRules).• Soft Skills:• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently under pressure.• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
