Our Engineering team serves as a key driver of innovation at Forward Financing. We build the software that powers a FinTech product that serves Small Businesses across the country. We’re looking for a Software Engineer who will join our application scrum team and help drive our mission to provide financial opportunity for underserved small businesses.
In this role, you will:
- Own the software development life cycle for small-scale complexity features
- Actively participate in the software design activities for projects across the team
- Proactively develop expertise in the team’s areas of responsibility
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to more junior engineers
- Act as a resource for product on technical feasibility and complexity analysis for small features

Role Requirements:

- Advanced English fluency
- Demonstrated proficiency in Ruby programming.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and a working knowledge of software architecture principles
- 3 or more years of experience in agile software development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, a certificate from a coding boot camp, or additional relevant experience
