We are seeking a Software Engineer (Backend) who has the ability and drive to make an impact. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-quality reporting features that enhance our customer experience. You will work across our backend stack on making our reporting tools even better, bringing exciting plans to life, and ensuring our customers have the information they need, when they need it.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Be part of a team working collaboratively with UX, PM, QA and other engineers designing, building and maintaining high performance, flexible and highly scalable microservices,
- Help to define best practices and help choose technologies to evolve our current tech stack while writing world-class applications
- Championing best practices such as quality integration, unit testing, end to end testing and performance testing
- Provide design feedback and participate in code reviews to ensure implementations meet requirements
- Ensure that all work done is delivered with quality and is appropriately monitored and supported in production
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Proficient in Java, Kotlin or another object-oriented language
- The capacity to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, communicate clearly with others to solve the problem, and share knowledge to help the whole team succeed
- Passionate about making users happy and seeing people use your product in the wild.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Enjoys building well-engineered, usable and accessible systems

- Exposure to, or keen interest in, working with large datasets and associated tools and technologies (such as Redshift, OpenSearch, Apache Druid, Apache Spark, Kafka etc)
- Exposure to distributed systems, scaling challenges, SQL, JS, & Pulsar
