Our scrum based teams work on improving, updating and broadening our product range to handle the whole scope of payment solutions. We build and operate payment services that are used by more than 90% of Danish households and support everyone from individual consumers to major corporations and public institutions. Our goal is simple: make payments secure, reliable and accessible while helping society run smoothly. From the student paying for insurance to the Danish tax authorities handling millions of users.
Overview
We primarily develop Java-based backend services built around modern microservices architectures. While the role is focused on backend engineering, we also value experience with frontend web development and an interest in contributing across the full stack. We follow industry best practice as well as internal and external regulations. We expect you to enhance and develop not only our code and solutions but also to help us identify and chose how we solve our challenges. We value collaboration, knowledge sharing and respectful communication. We work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, disciplines and cultures, and we believe the best solutions emerge when different perspectives are heard. We expect you to be motivated, curious, analytical and to be able to both progress tasks very independently and also fit right in to the team work that is the basis of everything we do.
Role:
Build functional software that meets the requirements.
Work with stakeholders and team to understand and develop requirements.
Ensure security, stability and scalability of our software.
Work together with devops and QA's to automate and simplify the sdlc.
Use llms for maximum impact but minimum risk.
Share knowledge and support the growth of your teammates.
We expect you to contribute not only to our products but also to the way we build them. This means helping improve our architecture, engineering practices, delivery processes and use of new technologies.
All About You:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.
Strong experience with Java backend development and microservices architectures.
Experience with frontend web development is a plus.
Some experience (2 to 4 years) in delivering secure solutions in a heavily regulated sector.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively in a diverse setting.
Ability to understand complex systems and their interactions with external partners and dependencies.
Able to work both very independently and in a team setting.
Curious and eager to learn and implement new technologies, frameworks, and tools. A willingness to learn, experiment and share knowledge with others.
Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
Familiarity with compliance requirements and audit processes.
