Software Engineer II - Windows 365

As an Engineer in the Windows 365 team, you will get an amazing opportunity to contribute to both business and technology. You will be a key member of our engineering team, drive full end to end engineering cycle of critical scenario, collaborate with internal partner teams and plan, design, implement and manage our service fundamental with high quality, 

In this role you will: 

• Work across organizations, collaborating with internal partner teams such as Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Platform Engineering teams like AKS/App service and etc.  
• Build and maintain secure, distributed, scalable, and resilient service infrastructure using modern technologies. 
• Enforce cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), network security, and compliance standards. 
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable, robust automation frameworks and tools for backend services, APIs, and frontend applications. 
• Establish and implement mature and efficient DevOps processes such as SDP (release), Livesite, buildout environment and tool chains for high service reliability and availability.  
• Participate in On-Call and Site Reliability rotations, ensuring live-site health and driving engineered solutions. 
• Executing the full software development lifecycle from architecture and implementation to deployment and live service operations—with accountability for service quality and resilience. 
• Participating in engineering excellence initiatives, including code reviews, architecture discussions, and process improvements.  

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science or other technical field.  
• 3+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping apps and/or services. 
• Good learning ability. 
• Good technical design skills and proven ability to drive system designs for commercial projects or products. 
• Good English communication skill. 
• Ambitious, self-motivated. 
• Agile, can-do attitude and great at dealing with ambiguity.  
• Solid coding, debugging and problem-solving skills. 
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming language paradigms. 
• Experience in developing online services.
• Good AI assisted coding practice.
